SSC: 35 Years of Inspired Cycling!

Join us on Saturday, November 5^th, as Southern Sierra Cyclists celebrate 35 years of cycling inspiration!  Sharing the inspiration to ride thru stories, photos, memorability, and more is the theme of our celebration and we need you to help us fulfill that theme.   Let us take you back to the Greg Lemond inspired activities of 1987:

• how SSC got started
• amazing racing success
• club members competing on the world stage
• the inspiring stories of members’ endurance rides and tours
• heartfelt thanks and celebration of those who contributed to our success as a cycling community

Who or What Inspired You?

Because you are part of this story, please share your own inspiring story by:

• Sending up to four photos.  Photo suggestions: 
• • An early, 1987 or later cycling photo
  • Your proudest moment
  • Bucket list event photo
  • Best cycling memory

Photos can be posted to our Facebook 35^th Anniversary event page discussion here, or e-mailed to southern.sierra.cyclist.secretary@gmail.com.   If you have prints, we can scan them for you if you deliver or mail them to Mark Wall, 1445 S Silvervale Street, Visalia, CA 93277.  All prints should be enclosed in an envelope with your name, address, and phone number on the front (so we can get them back to you).  You can call Mark at 280-0696 if needed.  Please submit photos by October 28.   By submitting photos you agree that SSC may use them for the event. 

• By wearing your favorite old jersey or event t-shirt, especially if there is a story to tell
• By stepping up to the mic and telling us about a hero, a friend, or an event that inspired you.  (Please keep it brief).

Ride starts at 9 AM from Maverick’s Coffee at Court and Caldwell

Dinner and presentations start at 5 PM
