A favorite SSC ride which basically circumnavigates the City of Visalia. The route is about 23 miles and is generally a C-pace ride.
SSC A-Train from El Diamanté’s parking lot at 6pm.
This is a ride for beginners, returning cyclists, recovering cyclists, or anyone willing to ride an “A” pace and assist with the encouragement of new riders. We will ride to Plaza Park and back at a social pace. This is the ride for new riders who are uncomfortable about road riding, or for families with younger riders. E bikes are welcome.
All riders/participants must wear a helmet.

Ride starts at 6 pm at Maverick's Coffee Shop located on the northeast corner of Court and Caldwell. The route goes to Exeter and back sometimes heading down Santa Fe, sometimes heading out Caldwell so it is best to be early to know which direction the ride will take. This is a B pace ride with the average speed ending at between 16 and 17 miles per hour.
Join the SSC Monthly fun bike meetings! We meet the 1st Thursday of every month, upstairs, at VIP Pizza in Exeter. Hear about great rides in the area. Camp Town Races are a practice circuit race series hosted by SSC.
The purpose is to have fun racing!
The format is one lap neutral and 6 laps hot! For safety, we hold position around the corner from San Joaquin onto Plaza Dr, no racing around this corner, just hold your position. There is plenty of space to make this corner at speed but DO NOT swing wide into traffic on Plaza Dr. Aim for the bike lane on Plaza.
If you are new to racing, or thinking about racing, or just like to ride fast, this event gives you the chance to practice those skills. Learn cornering in a group at race speeds. Practice race strategies you've been want to try. If you are new to this type of racing please just sit in and go fast without taking any pulls. Learn to keep it smooth and safe! And when you are ready, go for it!
